About Us
Archie McEachern and Jasper Hutchins began the business as a lumberyard in 1949. Since then, the store has expanded into Southwest Harbor's hardware supply and home improvement store. In 1980, Archie's son, Les, took over the business, and his family has since run the day-to-day operations.
As an independent, family owned and operated hardware store, we take pride in providing personalized service with a bit of hometown pride. Our staff is well-trained and knowledgeable, and we take the time to learn about your needs and goals. In turn, we can point you to precisely what you need—allowing you to do more with your budget.
